Honorary Doctorate Degree at the Agricultural University of Athens for K.C. Nicolaou
On the 7th April 2000, Prof. K.C. Nicolaou was awarded an honorary Doctorate by the Agricultural University of Athens. In the special ceremony for this event, the scientific excellence of the Prof. of honors was presented by the head of the department of Gen. Chemistry Prof. M. Polyssiou. In addition, Prof. E. Couladouros, member of the General Chem. Lab. of AUA with a long standing collaboration with Prof. Nicolaou, presented some aspects of his personality and how it reflects to his scientific masters. Prof. Nicolaou's inaugural lecture entitled "Chemistry, Biology and Medicine in 21st century" was, as always, a fascinating, up-lifting and inspiring experience for the audience.
