Multi-inlet Venturi device for proportional mixing of fluids

  S U M M A R Y

Multiinlet Venturi device for proportional mixing of fluids, which includes a Venturi (16,13), an injector (18) with a nozzle aligned with the center of the Venturi and an air-proof chamber B (11) which is connected to the suction side of the Venturi and onto which many inlets (20) are formed to connect to equal number of fluid lines. Chamber B may be divided by a diffuser which absolutely equalizes the pressure in sub-chamber b onto which the inlet nipples are supported. Further chamber B may include a relief valve (17) which may regulate the pressure in chamber B above the one attained by the Venturi (i.e. the Venturi usually works at absolute vacuum (zero pressure) and chamber B may be maintained at subvacuum to avoid water boiling).

One implementation is shown in Figure 4 where the Venturi is machined in a PVC rod (16), at the suction side a larger diameter PVC cup forms chamber B (11), closed with milled cap (12), bearing the inlet nipples. The injector is machined also on a PVC rod (18,15) and is inserted through the cap (12) by air-proof connector. This construction is whole PVC and holds durable for toxic and corrosive fluids. A first application of the invention on the Hydrponics mixer (MACQU-H), has being developed by the inventor (attached prospectus).
