Advanced Telematic Services in Agricultural University of Athens

Objectives: Development and implementation of the local area network of the Athens University of Agriculture. The project activated in three phases which improved the network infrastructure through the installation of an FDDI / Fast Ethernet network (100 Mbps), expanded the number of network locations to cover all the University Labs and upgraded the Internet line to 2 Mbps. The project also offered the basic Internet services and installed a pilot LATM network to be used for advanced multimedia educational e-services particularly applied in agriculture.
