Analysis of Local Area Networks (LANs)

Objectives: Although local area networks are widely used, their analysis is still difficult. Formulae have not yet been developed which will provide performance figures for a range of terminals and computers attached to the network. Using a number of reasonable approximations, this work is developing several relatively simple models which will eventually be applied to the evaluation of local area networks.
